in his given story, he's a sci-fi antihero fending for himself in a futuristic world. shooting aliens, hacking government databases, and although he never had the stomach to do it himself, an interest in cybernetic enhancements & tinkering with the ones given to his current circle of allies. always on the run but never afraid of a fight, xero was all cool and all edge.
truthfully, he's the creation of a child from roughly late middle school-mid high school who was uploaded to the masses on art sharing websites throughout the early to mid 2000s. the passwords to said accounts have been lost to time and his creator has moved on, leaving him frozen in time in his little corner of the world. instead of being the snarky badass he was drawn to be, he now spends his time with other characters in similar situations to him in groups on his home websites. he's basically a time capsule for late 90s-early 2000s furry nostalgia- to the point where he has trouble retaining information about any time period outside of his original upload dates and finds himself stuck in 2003. not that it troubles him.
xero was purchased as a premade (partial) suit in late 2021 from fureverwear fursuits! unfortunately i haven't worn the suit itself much since then, mostly due to the pandemic, not affording con prices when they did reopen, moving states, my main cons both closing the same year... but i'm getting off topic. i was immediately drawn to this character from the color palette, the price range and the general suit style. it's got a very nostalgic feel in terms of style and design, hence why i gave him the backstory i did. he's certainly a character i'd like to get more use out of, as he has become very dear to me.
